St Clement’s Church
West Thurrock

The main Sunday service takes place at 11am.
It is delivered via PowerPoint and is informal, evangelical and participative.
The congregation, including the children, take a full part in the delivery of
the services. It is usually a communion service. Twice a month the morning
service is targeted particularly for children and their families. On these occasions a quieter more traditional service of Holy Communion is held in the afternoon at 3pm.

There is a midweek Bible study/prayer group based in a home.

St. Clement's is open on Thursday mornings for Morning Prayer
at 10am and then from 10.30am - 12noon to drop in for quiet
prayer, or to talk to someone, to be prayed for or just have a
cup of tea or coffee with some company!  Everyone is welcome.
You are also welcome to join us for Morning Prayer on Mondays
at 10am

“Sunday Goes” meets  7.00 - 8.30pm  Sundays.

USUAL PATTERN:

1st Sunday      11am Family Communion

2nd Sunday      11am Family Worship (sometimes with baptisms)
                         3pm   Holy Communion

3rd Sunday      11am Family Communion

4th Sunday      11am Family Communion
                         3pm   Holy Communion

(5th Sunday)    Family Communion

We also have regular Parade services  (see the ‘monthly services’ link for details)

When we say ‘Family’ Communion or Worship we mean the ‘Family’ of the church –
at St. Clement’s we are of many ages and backgrounds and all are welcome!

The 11am services are informal in style and at the Family Communion there are children’s groups that meet for part of the service.  There is also a place set aside in the adjoining hall for parents/carers with under 2’s to use if you’re worried about children becoming restless.

The 3pm service of Holy Communion is a quieter, more traditional service.

CHURCH ADDRESS:
St. Clement's Church
London Road
West Thurrock
Essex
(Don't get mixed up with the 'old' St. Clement's Church to which the brown road signs point - the church which was the funeral church in 'Four Weddings and a Funeral'!)

Along with friends from West Thurrock Chapel, St. Clement's runs a Bar N Bus
team.  On Wednesday evenings in West Thurrock (usually in the Cowdray Hall
car park off Credo Way) local teenagers can find us on a converted double-decker bus.  Come and drop in with friends, hot and cold drinks provided, games,
space to chill out, a prayer room where we can pray for you or with you
or just come and have someone to talk to...

BAPTISM AND WEDDING ENQUIRIES
If you would like to know more about baptisms or weddings
at St. Clement's then please come along to a Sunday morning service
and introduce yourself to the Vicar or Reader, or phone the Vicar
(details below).
